Valleena started dance training at the age of 13 after being asked if she wanted to try a jazz class that her figure skating off-ice coach’s daughter was a part of. Her off-ice coach happened to be Jana Hamilton, the owner and director of Connectivity Dance Ltd. Since then she has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical and contemporary as well as training in figure skating for 10 years, her favourite discipline being ice dancing.
Valleena hopes to work as a professional dancer as well as earn more teaching credentials to pass on the knowledge she has learned thus far and more to younger dancers. Valleena has a joy for the process of creating projects from learning choreography and pursuing ideas in the studio to executing it on stage to its fullest potential. Valleena has been apart of numerous productions big and small ranging from performing in the pre-show for the Harlem Globetrotters to taking part in a production of Coppelli AI with Out of Body Physical Theatre and is eager and excited to explore what the future holds.
